Chocolate Swirl Feather Chocolate Swirl Feather is meticulously designed and interlocked to look freehand quilted. Working in short repeated sections, it is bi-directional and random in arc. It requires both rows to form the interlock, enhancing the freehand look of the pattern. The motif in this design repeats every 22 inches. Improved Clamshell Improved Clamshell is a high-density design perfect for traditional quilts. You will be surprised at how forgiving this design quilts, and it solves the "problem" of accidentally touching the shell below. Interlocking Stipple A versatile and traditional design suitable for most quilts. Using a hand-rendered pantograph will assure a "perfect" stipple every time! I drafted this pattern after freehand stippling one more quilt where the thread color matched the fabric closely and I couldn't see where I was going! Nouveau Ginkgo Nouveau Ginkgo is a fast pattern that is very forgiving. It looks great on both contemporary and traditional quilts, adding a visual arc which softens geometric quilts.
